Then you can contact Steam Support about it with the information from FEDEX. Usually you should then get a replacement unit and FEDEX will reimburse Valve. Of course since the Steam Deck has a long waiting list and each produced unit is preordered it may take a while till they can send you a replacement.

I’m kind of worried I won’t ever see my Deck due to FedEx’s incompetence in my area, but the fact that I can’t ship it to a FedEx location for pick up is a real slight on Valve’s part imo. What you do is, once you get a tracking number, you can go to their site and change the shipping stuff. You should be able to select hold at fed ex facility for pickup.
